Our September Book is The Art of Pretend by Lauren Kuhl!
A tantalizing novel about a woman drawn into the orbit of her friend's wealthy family in New York City and the complications and consequences that arise when she embarks on a secret relationship with the golden-boy older brother.
I read this book last month, couldn’t put it down, and haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Fans of Emma Cline’s The Guest or Sally Rooney’s imperfect protagonists will adore this story of toxic friendships, situation ships, class dynamics, and being young and dumb in NYC.
If you’re behind on past Reading Lately BC reads, you can find them all on my Amazon Storefront.
